HawkSoft 6, our new cloud platform, is the platform of choice for both new and existing HawkSoft customers. This platform eliminates the need for in-office servers and offers a host of new features and benefits like access from anywhere, stronger security, and automatic data retention.

Agencies using legacy local server installations of HawkSoft 5 were not required to migrate to HawkSoft 6. However, please be aware that the functionality of your HawkSoft 5 database will be impacted by the end of support dates for HawkSoft 6, as outlined below.

  • 1/30/26 – Data Sync features disabled, data migration to HawkSoft 6 no longer available

  •  5/31/26 – End of support for book additions in HawkSoft 5

  •  6/30/26 – End of software updates & technical support for HawkSoft 5

End of support deadlines for HawkSoft 5 and prior versions

1/30/26
Data Sync features disabled & data migration to HawkSoft 6 no longer available

  • Data Sync & integrations disabled
On this date Data Sync was disabled in HawkSoft 5, as agencies desiring cloud data and API integrations are best served by moving to HawkSoft 6, our cloud platform. See details on impacted features and integrations.

  • Data migration to HawkSoft 6 no longer available
Migration of local server databases to HawkSoft 6 is not available after this date, as the migration process requires Data Sync, which will be disabled after this point. We strongly encourage all agencies to migrate before this date in order to preserve your data.

5/31/26
End of support for book additions in HawkSoft 5

After this date, agencies can no longer merge a non-HawkSoft book of business into databases on HawkSoft 5 or prior versions due to an agency sale, acquisition, or merge.

6/30/26
End of software updates & technical support for HawkSoft 5

Agencies that continue to use legacy local server installations of HawkSoft 5 after this date do so at their own risk. HawkSoft does not recommend that agencies continue to use local server installations after this date.

  • No software updates
After this date, HawkSoft 5 and prior versions will not receive any further software updates, bug fixes, or security patches. The software will be "as is" with no future improvements or features.

  • No technical support
Our Product Support team will no longer provide technical support to agencies on HawkSoft 5 or prior versions, as we cannot guarantee that all elements of the system will perform as expected. If something is not working, we won't be able to help troubleshoot or fix problems. The recommendation for agencies requesting help on prior versions will be to move to HawkSoft 6, our most current and fully supported product.

  • Full functionality no longer guaranteed for HawkSoft 5
Agencies are solely responsible for their database and all HawkSoft data after this point, as HawkSoft can no longer guarantee the functionality of the full system.

    • Incompatibility with updates from outside systems
Elements of the system may be at risk of incompatibility with future updates by other parties like Windows, Microsoft Office, Ivans, etc. Our software relies on other companies' tools and systems to work properly. If they change something, which they often do, it can break the integration with our software. Since we're no longer updating or supporting it, we won't be able to fix those issues.

    • Possible security vulnerabilities
As security updates are no longer being made to the system to protect against the newest cyber threats, HawkSoft 5 may become vulnerable to future security threats. Agencies are solely liable for the safety and security of their data after this point (see how to export your data here).

  • End of billing
Once HawkSoft 5 reaches the end of support, we will no longer bill agencies the monthly HawkSoft subscription fee. Agencies will receive their final HawkSoft invoice in May and complete their final payment in June. Please keep in mind that this means no additional seats can be added after this point.

Disabled features in HawkSoft 5

These features were disabled in HawkSoft 5 after 1/30/26, as they utilize Data Sync:

1. HawkSoft integration with all API partners
Data will no longer be sent between HawkSoft and partner integrations that are enabled in HawkSoft Marketplace. API integrations will no longer write logs or attachments back into HawkSoft 5. The HawkSoft Marketplace will not be accessible.

This will not cancel or impact the billing that agencies have in place with these third-party vendors. Agencies are responsible for managing their billing with these vendors directly as desired.

2. HawkSoft add-ons and features that utilize Data Sync
These HawkSoft features utilize Data Sync and will no longer function after this deadline, including some client-facing elements. Any items from this list that constitute an additional charge to HawkSoft subscription fees will no longer be billed by HawkSoft after this date.

  • HawkSoft Text Messaging
Agencies will not be able to send or receive text messages at their chosen number for texting, including if they are using their main office number for texting.

  • HawkSoft E-Signature (powered by Formstack Sign)
Agencies will not be able to send documents for signature from within HawkSoft. Agencies who wish to continue using Formstack after this date will need to work with the HawkSoft Billing team to convert their HawkSoft E-Signature account to a Formstack account that can be managed and billed separately through Formstack. As historical data from your HawkSoft E-Signature account may not be accessible through the new Formstack account, we strongly encourage agencies using HawkSoft E-Signature migrate to HawkSoft 6 to preserve their E-Signature data.

  • Self-service Certificates
Agencies will not be able to publish certificates to the website portal, and insureds will not have access to the portal or any published certificates.

  • Agent Portal
Agency users will not be able to access HawkSoft client and policy data through the Agent Portal website.

  • Cloud Search (New Search Experience)
If users had the New Search experience enabled (which utilized Data Sync), it will revert to the previous legacy search experience.

  • HawkSoft Login (password management)
There will no longer be a “Forgot Password” option upon logging in, as this utilized Data Sync. The agency is solely responsible for keeping and managing passwords for all users. Support for password reset by HawkSoft will be limited.

3. Carrier information
HawkSoft maintains updates to carrier information like NAIC codes, coverage codes, coverage descriptions, and company names. After this date, carrier information will only be automatically updated in HawkSoft 6, not HawkSoft 5 and previous versions. Agencies on prior versions will need to make all updates to carriers manually in Policy/Company Setup.
