End of support deadlines for HawkSoft 5 and prior versions

1/31/26
Data Sync features disabled (including API integrations and HawkSoft add-ons) & data migration to HawkSoft 6 no longer available

On this date Data Sync will be disabled for HawkSoft 5, as agencies desiring cloud data and API integrations are best served by moving to HawkSoft 6, our cloud platform. All agencies that have not migrated to HawkSoft 6 at this point will need to update to a final version of HawkSoft 5, or they will lose access to HawkSoft. Please coordinate with any needed IT administrators to ensure all users perform the update before this date.

Migration of local server databases to HawkSoft 6 will NOT be available after this date, as the migration process requires Data Sync, which will be disabled after this point. We strongly encourage all agencies to migrate before this date in order to preserve your data.

These features utilize Data Sync and will no longer function after this deadline:

1. HawkSoft integration with all API partners
Data will no longer be sent between HawkSoft and partner integrations that are enabled in HawkSoft Marketplace. API integrations will no longer write logs or attachments back into HawkSoft 5. The HawkSoft Marketplace will not be accessible.

This will not cancel or impact the billing that agencies have in place with these third-party vendors. Agencies are responsible for managing their billing with these vendors directly as desired.

2. HawkSoft add-ons and features that utilize Data Sync
These HawkSoft features utilize Data Sync, and will no longer function after this deadline, including some client-facing elements. Any items from this list that constitute an additional charge to HawkSoft subscription fees will no longer be billed by HawkSoft after this date.

  • HawkSoft Text Messaging
Agencies will not be able to send or receive text messages at their chosen number for texting, including if they are using their main office number for texting.

  • HawkSoft E-Signature (powered by Formstack Sign)
Agencies will not be able to send documents for signature from within HawkSoft. Agencies who wish to continue using Formstack after this date will need to work with the HawkSoft Billing team to convert their HawkSoft E-Signature account to a Formstack account that can be managed and billed separately through Formstack. As historical data from your HawkSoft E-Signature account may not be accessible through the new Formstack account, we strongly encourage agencies using HawkSoft E-Signature migrate to HawkSoft 6 to preserve their E-Signature data.

  • Self-service Certificates
Agencies will not be able to publish certificates to the website portal, and insureds will not have access to the portal or any published certificates.

  • Agent Portal
Agency users will not be able to access HawkSoft client and policy data through the Agent Portal website.

  • Cloud Search (New Search Experience)
If users had the New Search experience enabled (which utilized Data Sync), it will revert to the previous legacy search experience.

  • HawkSoft Login (password management)
There will no longer be a “Forgot Password” option upon logging in, as this utilized Data Sync. The agency is solely responsible for keeping and managing passwords for all users. Support for password reset by HawkSoft will be limited.

5/31/26
End of support for book additions in HawkSoft 5

After this date, agencies can no longer merge a non-HawkSoft book of business into databases on HawkSoft 5 or prior versions due to an agency sale, acquisition, or merge.

6/30/26
End of software updates & technical support for HawkSoft 5

After this date, HawkSoft 5 and prior versions will not receive any further software updates, bug fixes, or security patches. Additionally, Our Product Support team will no longer provide technical support to agencies on HawkSoft 5 or prior versions, as we cannot guarantee that all elements of the system will perform as expected. The recommendation for agencies requesting help on prior versions will be to move to HawkSoft 6, our most current and fully supported product.

Agencies that continue to use their local server installation of HawkSoft 5 after this date do so at their own risk, as HawkSoft cannot guarantee the functionality of the full system. Elements of the system may be at risk of security vulnerabilities or incompatibility with future Windows or Microsoft Office updates. HawkSoft does not recommend that agencies continue to use local server installations after this date.

Information on migrating to HawkSoft 6 from a local installation

We encourage all agencies to migrate to HawkSoft 6 as soon as possible. If your agency plans to migrate, please be aware of the following information and deadlines:

  • Migrating agencies must go live on HawkSoft 6 by 1/31/26
Data Sync (including API integrations) will be disabled in HawkSoft 5 and prior versions on this date. Because Data Sync is required for migrating an agency’s local server database to HawkSoft 6, agencies must migrate to HawkSoft 6 by this date in order to preserve all their data.

  • There will be a change in price upon moving to HawkSoft Cloud

Agencies using local server installations will see a price increase of up to $39/user/month depending on their current pricing, not to exceed the current retail price of $99/user/month for HawkSoft 6. For example, if your agency is currently paying $70/user, your price will only go up by $29/user to the $99/user retail price.

This increase covers the cost for cloud architecture, security, automatic backups, additional features, and ongoing enhancements. Additionally, this increase may be offset by the fact that your agency will no longer need to maintain a local server to use HawkSoft. Your billing date or process may also change upon your move to HawkSoft 6, as we are standardizing the billing process for all customers (see details here).

  • Schedule your first migration meeting now
Ready to migrate now? You can begin the migration process by scheduling your first migration meeting now. At this meeting a migration specialist will set your agency up in a HawkSoft 6 sandbox (test database) with your data, where your agency can practice for two weeks until your final data migration occurs to make you live on HawkSoft 6.
